Yoga Mats and Equipment...
Leena recommends the BEINJOY mat for those who are ready to step into a truly elegant practice while supporting Leena to keep teaching and spreading the gifts of yoga practice.
Elegance is when everything works together for beauty, function and sustainability.
The BEINJOY mats are designed by yogis who put it all together. The mats are:
- A work of art
- Very LIGHT to carry
- Very cushy
- Extra long--72"
- Easily biodegradable in a landfill
- Easy to clean, just wipe down
- No slip without being sticky or rough
Available with a "love cushion" which can be used to pad knees and elbows or rolled-up to use as a travel meditation cushion or yoga block.
Sure, they're more expensive than some other mats. Though...they are definitely not the most expensive!
You're worth it.
For those whose practice is a part of their lives, a top-of-the-line yoga mat is still less expensive than an average pair of running shoes or one decent golf club!
If you're just beginning yoga, you can purchase a mat for less than $10 at a discount store. Start there and then, when you're ready for a really wonderful mat, pass your old mat along to someone who's starting out. However, if you're like me, you're tired of contributing more indestructable or toxic plastic to this world. You can get a nice Gaiam rubber mat for about $40. They grip well and they are in pretty colors. The only problem: Rubber mats, though natural, are very heavy. Rolling them up and carrying them around is like wrestling a dead fish.
When ordering, please remember to write "Leena OmPeace" in the Special Instructions box to give me credit for your purchase. This helps me, in a small, yet, significant way, to keep teaching and spreading the gifts of yoga practice full time.
